A business identification number for a foreign legal entity that works with Kazakhstan without a local subsidiary. We obtain it remotely under a power of attorney, and once you have the BIN, we help you open a bank account.
A BIN for a foreign company in Kazakhstan is needed when the company does business or holds assets here but does not register a subsidiary LLP. Without it, the company cannot open a current account with a Kazakh bank, set up a legal entity or buy a share in an LLP, take part in public procurement, register taxable property, or sign a joint activity agreement with a local company. In essence, it is the registration of a foreign legal entity with the Kazakh tax authorities.
You do not need to travel. You sign powers of attorney using our template and send the documents by courier, and we handle the registration with the tax office. Company documents are apostilled or legalized and translated into Kazakh or Russian with notarization. Companies from Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan usually do not need an apostille.
Fully remote: you sign powers of attorney using our template and send the originals by courier; no trip to Kazakhstan is needed to get the BIN.
Our service fee is from $600. Government fees, translations, insurance and other mandatory costs are paid separately; we send the full estimate before you sign.
A BIN lets a foreign company work with Kazakhstan without a subsidiary LLP: open an account, set up a legal entity or buy a share in an LLP, take part in public procurement, own taxable property and sign joint activity agreements. It is the registration of a non-resident with the tax authorities.
Yes. You sign notarized powers of attorney using our template and send the documents by courier, and we handle the registration. You do not need to come to Kazakhstan to get the BIN. Originals travel by courier, and we keep you informed at every step of the registration.
Usually yes: a foreign company's documents are apostilled or legalized where the company is registered. The exception is countries that have legal assistance treaties with Kazakhstan. Companies from Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan generally do not need an apostille; notarized copies and a translation are enough.
Sometimes, yes: some banks open accounts for foreign companies that have only a BIN and no branch in Kazakhstan. Each bank decides after its own review. We find out the chosen bank's requirements in advance and prepare the documents to match, so the review raises fewer questions.
An IIN is assigned to an individual; a BIN is assigned to a legal entity, branch or representative office. A foreign director who will sign documents in Kazakhstan often needs their own IIN and electronic signature as well. If the director does not plan to sign documents in Kazakhstan personally, we discuss that separately.
The first digits show the year and month of registration. Next comes the entity type: for example, 5 means a non-resident legal entity. Then come the division code, a sequence number and a check digit, 12 digits in total. A 5 in the entity type position tells banks and counterparties right away that they are dealing with a non-resident.
No. Decisions are made by government agencies, consulates and banks. We are responsible for preparing and checking documents, filing and support, and we tell you about the risks upfront.
We will check whether the program fits your citizenship, income and family, and send an estimate with the full list of costs.
