IT Company in Kazakhstan, End to End: From LLP to Astana Hub

We put together your IT company in Kazakhstan as a whole: the legal entity, address, Astana Hub membership, accounting, bank account and visas for the team. One manager runs it, and you know in advance where you need to be involved personally.

EntrepreneursAgencies and IT companies

The main reason to open an IT company in Kazakhstan is the Astana Hub tax regime: participants have their corporate income tax reduced by the full amount, their sales are exempt from VAT, and social tax on foreign employees' salaries is zero. But not every company qualifies. Only a Kazakhstan legal entity without branches can join, usually an LLP, and at least 90% of its annual income must come from priority activities. Sole proprietors are not accepted, and a foreign company joins through its own Kazakhstan LLP.

That is why the package starts with the structure, not the registration. If you want the tax benefits, the usual choice is an LLP that joins Astana Hub. An AIFC company offers English law and its own court, but non-financial companies there pay 20% corporate income tax and 16% VAT. After that, the address, bank, Astana Hub application, separate accounting and visas for people who relocate all follow one plan.

Who it is for

  • Startup founders moving their product or team to Kazakhstan
  • Foreign IT companies that need a subsidiary LLP in Kazakhstan
  • Agencies and development studios with clients abroad
  • Teams that want Astana Hub benefits and want to keep them after the first year
  • Employees with income from abroad who need a long-term visa

Requirements

  • For Astana Hub benefits, a Kazakhstan legal entity without branches; a sole proprietor can't be a participant
  • At least 90% of a participant's total annual income from priority activities (the 90/10 rule)
  • An Astana Hub participant works only under the general tax regime
  • A foreign individual can found an LLP or join its capital with a business immigrant temporary residence permit, a C5 visa or a permanent residence permit; a foreign company needs no immigration status
  • The director and individual founders need an IIN, issued only in person at a Public Service Center or through eResidency
  • The Neo Nomad visa suits only people with income from abroad of at least $3,000 a month; it doesn't allow working for a Kazakhstan LLP

What we do

  • Look at your product, revenue, founders and where the team lives, and choose between an LLP and an AIFC company
  • Arrange the IIN and e-signature, the registered address and the company registration
  • Choose a bank that fits your structure and assemble the compliance file, including when the director is a non-resident
  • Write the business plan in the Astana Hub format, file the application and respond to comments
  • Keep separate accounting, quarterly participant reports and track the share of priority income
  • Prepare Neo Nomad visa documents for team members with income from abroad

Key documents

  • Passports of the founders and the director, plus IINs and e-signatures
  • For a foreign corporate founder: an extract from the commercial register with an apostille or legalization and a notarized translation
  • Immigration status document of a foreign individual founder (temporary residence permit, C5 visa or permanent residence permit)
  • The premises owner's consent to the registered address
  • A description of the product and revenue sources for the business plan
  • A bank file: ownership structure down to the beneficial owners, business description and first contracts

How it works

  1. Brief and structureproduct, revenue, founders and team; we choose an LLP for Astana Hub or an AIFC company
  2. IIN, e-signature and companyIIN in person at a Public Service Center or through eResidency, address, registration of the LLP or AIFC company
  3. Bank accountbank selection and a compliance file; some banks open accounts remotely
  4. Joining Astana Hubactivity check, business plan and application; roughly 4–6 weeks for the whole path
  5. Participant accounting and teamseparate accounting, quarterly reports, 90/10 monitoring and Neo Nomad visas for employees

Timeline

Usually 4–6 weeks from registration to Astana Hub participant status for a foreign team, if documents are ready on time.

Timelines are approximate: government agencies, consulates and banks set them.

What to watch out for

  • Non-priority income above 10% removes the benefits, and taxes are recalculated from the start of the year in which the rule was broken
  • A branch of the LLP or an unsuitable activity closes the way to Astana Hub
  • A foreigner without the right status can't become an LLP member, and this is checked before registration
  • An employee on a Neo Nomad visa can't work under an employment contract with your LLP and needs a different status
  • A bank may refuse to open an account if it can't see the beneficial owners or the source of funds

FAQ

How much does it cost?

Our service fee is on request. Government fees, translations, insurance and other mandatory costs are paid separately; we send the full estimate before you sign.

Should an IT company in Kazakhstan be an LLP with Astana Hub or an AIFC company?

If tax benefits matter, usually an LLP that joins Astana Hub: corporate income tax is reduced by the full amount and sales are exempt from VAT. The AIFC offers English law and the AIFC court, but IT companies there pay 20% corporate income tax and 16% VAT. We make the choice at the brief, based on your revenue, founders and investment plans.

Can a foreigner open an IT company in Kazakhstan?

Yes. A foreign company can found an LLP without any immigration status; it only needs documents with an apostille or legalization and a translation. A foreign individual without a residence permit needs a business immigrant temporary residence permit or a C5 visa to join an LLP. That status is arranged as a separate service.

How long does it take to join Astana Hub?

The Astana Hub fund reviews the application within up to 15 business days, you get 5 business days to address comments, and the decision is then made within 10 business days. For a foreign team, the whole path from registration to participant status usually takes 4–6 weeks if documents are ready on time.

What benefits does Astana Hub offer in 2026?

Corporate income tax is reduced by the full amount, sales are exempt from VAT, income tax is not withheld from salaries, and 0% social tax applies only to foreign employees. Dividends to a foreign founder are taxed at 5% unless the founder is in a low-tax jurisdiction. The benefits apply until January 1, 2029.

Can my team work in Kazakhstan on a Neo Nomad visa?

Only if their income comes from abroad: at least $3,000 a month from a foreign employer or clients. This visa doesn't allow working for a Kazakhstan LLP. For employees of your LLP, we find a different status.

Can I order only part of the package?

Yes. Registration, Astana Hub membership, accounting, the bank account and visas can each be ordered separately. In the package, one manager runs all of them, so timelines stay in sync and documents don't have to be collected twice.

Do you guarantee the result?

No. Decisions are made by government agencies, consulates and banks. We are responsible for preparing and checking documents, filing and support, and we tell you about the risks upfront.
