Permanent residency in Uruguay for you and your children, with no investment required. You file inside the country, receive a local ID card and start on the path to citizenship.
Uruguay permanent residency is one of the few options where a foreigner can apply for permanent status right away, without years of temporary permits. You enter legally, apply to the national migration service, and soon after filing you receive a local ID card, the cédula. With it you can live, work, open bank accounts and run a business while your application is reviewed. The final decision can take from several months to a year and a half.
To apply you need criminal record certificates from every country you have lived in during recent years, birth and marriage certificates with an apostille and a Spanish translation, a medical certificate issued in Uruguay and proof of means of support. We handle the process from preparing documents to the cédula. If you wish, we also register a sole proprietorship or company with a bank account, open a personal bank account and support you through to citizenship.
You need to be in Uruguay to file and to receive the cédula.
The cédula comes soon after filing; the final residency decision can take from several months to a year and a half.
