Meydan Free Zone company setup is a common choice for consulting, IT and digital businesses with clients outside the UAE. The zone costs more than the budget free zones of Sharjah, but banks and payment services find its companies easier to work with, and account checks drag on less often. The package covers up to three business activities and up to three shareholders, a one-year trade license, incorporation documents and a registered address under a lease agreement. First-year free zone government fees are included, and corporate tax registration is part of the package.

You do not need to travel to the UAE to register. The founder can be the director from day one, a residence visa is not required at the start, and without visas the company does not need a physical office. The license is usually ready within 3–5 business days after a complete set of documents. An account with a UAE payment service follows, usually in another 3–5 business days. A local bank account needs a residence visa, which we arrange: usually 3–4 days on site, and we apply to the bank once you have an Emirates ID.

Fully remote: the company, the license, corporate tax registration and an account with a UAE payment service. You only need to travel if you want a residence visa and a local bank account; that usually takes 3–4 days on site.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

Our service fee is from $6,400. Government fees, translations, insurance and other mandatory costs are paid separately; we send the full estimate before you sign.

Why Meydan and not a cheaper free zone?

Budget zones in Sharjah cost less to enter, but banks and payment services check their companies more cautiously, and opening an account can take longer. For consulting, IT and digital businesses that need an account right away, we usually choose Meydan. If you do not need a UAE account, we will compare budget options too.

Can I complete Meydan Free Zone company setup without visiting the UAE?

Yes. Registration, the license, tax registration and a payment-service account are all handled remotely. You only need to come if you want a residence visa and a local bank account: the visa requires an in-person medical test, and the visit usually takes 3–4 days.

What does the package include?

Up to three activities and up to three shareholders, name approval, a one-year trade license, certificate of incorporation, share certificate, certificate of good standing, a lease agreement that serves as the registered address, and corporate tax registration. First-year free zone government fees are included. The account and the visa are separate items.

Do I need a residence visa?

Not to register or run the company: the founder can be the director without a visa. You need a visa if you want to live in the UAE or open an account with a local bank, because traditional banks do not open accounts without an Emirates ID. You can get the visa later, when you need it.

What taxes does the company pay?

UAE corporate tax is 9% on taxable profit above AED 375,000; below that threshold the rate is 0%. A free zone company that meets the conditions can pay 0% on qualifying income. VAT is 5%, and registration is mandatory once turnover reaches AED 375,000 a year. We check whether the preferential regime fits your business model.

What happens after the first year?

The license is renewed every year, and the registered address is included in the renewal. We can also keep the books and handle tax reporting from the first month, so the company stays in good standing with the free zone and the tax authority.

Do you guarantee the result?

No. Decisions are made by government agencies, consulates and banks. We are responsible for preparing and checking documents, filing and support, and we tell you about the risks upfront.
