We set up an SIA, an individual merchant (IK) or another business form in Latvia without you having to travel. We prepare the documents, provide a registered address, register for VAT and help with the account.
Latvia is a member of the EU and the Schengen Area, and a company here gives you access to the European market under clear rules. A foreigner can own the company outright, with no need for a local co-founder. Company registration in Latvia with the Register of Enterprises usually takes 2–4 business days once the documents are ready, and everything can be done remotely. There is one mandatory condition: the company must have a registered address in Latvia. The most common choice is the SIA, a limited liability company.
Corporate income tax in Latvia is paid when profit is distributed, for example as dividends, while reinvested profit is not taxed. If the company will work with European clients, we register it for VAT (PVN). A company can also be a basis for residence. Under the new Immigration Law in force since September 15, 2026, this means a board member permit if the company pays at least €25,000 in taxes a year, or a permit for investing in its capital. Citizens of Russia cannot use either route, citizens of Belarus only the first, so we check citizenship first.
Usually 2–4 business days for registration once the documents are ready; VAT registration and the bank account take extra time.
Timelines are approximate: government agencies, consulates and banks set them.
Our service fee is from $75. Government fees, translations, insurance and other mandatory costs are paid separately; we send the full estimate before you sign.
Yes. We prepare and file the documents without you having to travel, and we provide the registered address. You may need to come later if the bank asks for a personal meeting before opening the account.
Yes. Latvian law does not require a local co-founder. A foreigner can be the sole shareholder and a board member, which is the usual setup for an SIA, the form most founders choose.
Once the documents are ready, registration with the Register of Enterprises usually takes 2–4 business days. VAT registration and opening an account are separate steps and take extra time.
Corporate income tax of 20% is charged when profit is distributed, for example as dividends, and on expenses the law treats as distribution, such as costs unrelated to the business. Money kept in the business is not taxed. On top of that come VAT, payroll taxes and other payments depending on the activity. We go through the details for your setup.
Yes, but under the new Immigration Law in force since September 15, 2026, there are two options. The first is a board member permit if the company pays at least €25,000 in taxes a year and an SIA has at least €2,800 of paid-up capital. The second is a permit for investing at least €50,000 in capital. Citizens of Russia cannot use either route; citizens of Belarus can use only the first. We check this before starting.
No. Decisions are made by government agencies, consulates and banks. We are responsible for preparing and checking documents, filing and support, and we tell you about the risks upfront.
We will check whether the program fits your citizenship, income and family, and send an estimate with the full list of costs.
